This study aims to analyze the economic feasibility of sand mining activities carried out by the local community in Kamelanta Village. Sand mining has become one of the main sources of income for coastal communities; therefore, an assessment is needed to determine whether this activity is economically viable and sustainable. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach by calculating economic feasibility using Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PBP). Primary data were collected through field observations, interviews, and questionnaires, while secondary data were obtained from literature and related agencies. The results indicate that sand mining provides economic benefits to the community, with an average annual net cash flow of Rp79,440,000. The feasibility analysis shows that the activity yields an NPV of Rp134,454,000, an IRR of 87.3%, and a PBP of 0.79 years. These three indicators demonstrate that sand mining is financially feasible, highly profitable, and capable of returning investment in a short period. Additionally, sand mining significantly increases community income, with an average income rise of 293% compared to the period before the activity began. Thus, sand mining activities in Kamelanta Village are economically feasible, provided that production remains stable and the operation is supported by proper equipment maintenance and effective business management.
